General World Info:
The world is set inside what basically amounts to a giant crater, that would take about a month to cross by horse/camel. In the east there is a desert, the west a glacier, the north a sea, and south a jungle. In the middle its a plain with a mountain in the middle where the only city is built. The city, Crona, holds half the population of the crater, which is similarly called Crona. There is no archaelogical evidence of civilization before 2000 years before the present, though there is an oral tradition that speaks of gleaming towers and a mythological race called “elves”. There have been historical records of “The Den of The iron Serpent”, but they are sketchy at best. Evil has not been seen for a century, though there are bandits and theives who are mostly doing such illegal activity to provide for themselves. All good/neutral gods are acknowledged and worshipped so it’s pretty easy going that way. Surrounding Crona is a wall that will not allow anything to get through or even touch it. Bolts of light kill anything that tries to fly over it, and attempts to burrow under the wall have never succeeded. Dragons are pretty common, have no type alignments, with one having a territory of 30km around its lair. Barbarian and townsfolk typically get along, trading in the spring and fall, though during tough seasons barbarian tribes will resort to stealing from nearby villages to stay alive. Monsters do exist though you’d have to go out of your way to find them. In the past 20 years, there has been the incorporation of devils (mostly imps) into society. All are required to sign a contract that they will not attempt to harvest souls, and for the most part, they have been surprisingly pleasant to be around, and some have made friendships with good aligned outsiders. Paladins police them strictly, though none of the devils show up when “Detect Evil” is used.
